Only a few books have caused me to continue turing pages until I had completed them. Foregoing Computer time, TV time, Family time or any other distraction (including food and shower) until the book was finished. As a matter of fact, there are now four books that have caused this to happen. The Firm, the first Harry Potter, Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix and now The Da Vinci Code.
I started reading last night at midnight. I couldn't put the book down until 530 am. I woke up at 1030 am, ate breakfast and started reading again. I have to admit, I ate breakfast, but I read while eating. The book is a murder mystery that is fast paced and fun to read. I have to admit that I didn't know "who dun it" but there were several clues that I could figure out. I was very psyched to figure out the very last clue before the main character did.
Very exciting read. Highly recommended. Don't bother trying to get it at the library, the waiting list at mine was over a year long.

Did you see the Nicolas Flamel reference to Harry Potter as a grail story?

Christina - yes! As soon as I saw that (in the early hours of this morning as I read until I fell asleep with the book in my hands) I quickly grabbed my Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone and then made notes on an old bus ticket I found on my bedroom floor. As a Harry Potter fanatic, in the world of fiction, my theory is that Nicolas Flamel pretended to be a Muggle and was indeed a Grand Master of The Priory of Sion, but then faked his death to the Muggle world, (as wizards live longer than Muggles and Flamel had the Elixir of Life) and then retired to Devon (as it says in Philosopher's Stone) with his wife, hiding out as a hundreds-of-years-old man. Loved The Da Vinci Code, laughed out loud at Harry Potter joke. :-)
