My IDEA-listic trip

A couple of days ago, I was surfing my favorite blogs when I came upon a link about IDEA Bashing. This link lead me to Ryan's blog entry about not understanding the IntelliJunkies TM love for IDEA. Ryan asserts that Eclipse has everything that IDEA has, plus it is free. That is a debate that is well covered on Ryan and Magnus' sites, so I will continue on about my merry way.

I wanted to check out the rest of their blogs, and I happened upon a conversation on Ryan's site that I have with my coworkers on a near daily basis. Stored procedures containing business logic. Where is the line that seperates business logic and how much should the database handle? I have coined a new term: Data Logic TM. Data Logic is short for stored procedures and I think accurately defines what stored procedures are responsible for; baby sitting the data.
